There was another shooting in the Bayview on Quesada around 8:10 p.m.

by Francisco Da Costa
Here is another one the speaks to the Injunction that City Attorney Dennis Herrera is so proud off. Last night March 16, 2007 around 8:10 p.m. a man got out of his care and fired at another man and woman. The two were rushed to the hospital. Once again, in the last few weeks - yet another crime involving firing a gun that is NOT related to the Oakdale Area but is within the Injunction Area - where police are patrolling and making lots of money - Over Time.
Last night March 16, 2007 at 8:10 p.m. a block away from my office a man got out of his car and fired at another man and a woman. Both were rushed to the hospital.

Here is yet one more case of shooting right within the area linked to the permanent injunction that City Attorney, Dennis Herrera has spoken of in very strong terms.

Third Street is heavily patrolled but crime is on the increase. Over 45% of the population in are area, do not have have jobs. In the rest of San Francisco the unemployment rate is about 6%.

In recent weeks we have seen an increase of violence crime and shootings in the Bayview. None of these incidents have anything to do with the Oakdale area or the so called " Oakdale Gang".

During the day time one sees many police -many in cars others on motorcycles - many of them obese and you can see they are from far off places - mostly rednecks - stopping innocent folks and intimidating them. These nonsense has been going on for months.

I have witnessed some of these incidents and have taken photographs. I will continue photographing these incidents.

I do not see such type of behavior in other parts of the City of San Francisco - some of them that carry guns, wear a uniform, but on a daily basis abuse their profession with a dirty smirk on their faces.

I happen to know the Police Chief Heather Fong, all of the Deputy Chiefs, and many of the Captains. I challenge them to visit the Bayview in cognito and see things for themselves.

You can intimidate the community all you want. Bring in the rednecks and obese guys that are a joke to look at - you can continue to adversely affect the area with these gimmicks - it will back fire.

I have seen folks coming from attending Church being told to stand against the wall and put up their hands. People all over this Nation would be shocked to hear this and more to see this. But, this is what is happening in our community in the Bayview Hunters Point.

No one has spoken about this issue - where innocent people are stopped and questioned. As I said this is not done in Pacific Heights, the Avenues, Russian Hill - elsewhere in the City including Market Street which is haven for drug selling and other sorts of crime.

Dennis Herrera is a joke and is wasting tax payers money - trying to intimidate people that are poor and have no resources. People that have been kept down and their environment daily bombarded by pollution need help not intimidation on any quarter that take our taxes and give us next to nothing in return.

We have a District 10 Supervisor - Sophie Maxwell, the City Attorney has spent more time with Sophie Maxwell behind close doors - talking about the Mirant Power Plant, the 3 proposed Combustion Turbines, SF Redevelopment Agency - given little attention to Quality of Life issues in Public Housing and the Oakdale area in particular.

We have serious issues linked to toxic sites right in the Bayview and the City Attorney is doing nothing about it. We have over 450 toxic sites that is the responsibility of the City to clean up.

Right now the Law Enforcement are having "fun" using over time and joy rides to intimidate innocent people in the Bayview Hunters Point.

We did have the riots in the 1960's in the Bayview - and there might be another one - soon.

In the mean time the crime increases. There are more violent crimes then has ever been before.

One case, is the shooting that took place at Quesada Street at 8:10 p.m. on March 16, 2007 while all the police were patrolling up and down and round about.
