Citizen Journalism With Dan Gillmor

Former San Jose Mercury News columnist, Dan Gillmor, author of "We, the Media," and director of the Center for Citizen Media, will lead a discussion about emerging media trends on the internet. The Midpeninsula Community Media Center and Ourmedia.org are cosponsoring a series of public conversations, the first of which will examine Citizen Journalism. Gillmor will be joined by J.D. Lasica, co-founder of Ourmedia.org, a forerunner of YouTube, in a discussion regarding the interplay and contrasts between mainstream media and bloggers. Lasica is the author of “Darknet.”
