4 Years of War for Oil!
On the 4th Anniversary of the Iraq War, We demand:
No Blood or Oil!
Climate Justice Now!
To Stop War, End Empire!
End Chevron's Oil Crimes from Richmond to Iraq
Monday March 19, 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Protest, Rally, and Nonviolent Direct Action
Join us in protest of wars for oil that stifle our progress towards climate justice and democracy.
Support ongoing struggles against Chevron, its contribution to global climate chaos, and its role in driving wars for oil.
Contribue to stepping-up the peace movement's resistance to war through nonviolent direct action, advancing a systemic analysis of oil, war, and empire, and building movements that assert our power to stop the war ourselves, instead of just relying on a Democratic Congress or presidential candidate to do it for us.
Chevron is set to become a big winner in Iraq after four long years of war to transform Iraq's oil from a system all but closed to US Corporations, to one open to US corporate control.
The brain-child of the Bush Administration and US Oil companies, the new Iraqi national oil law (if passed) would radically transform Iraq's oil system and give Chevron contracts to extract and control Iraqi oil for a generation. The law goes before the Iraqi Parliament within weeks!
