San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) in the Bayview Hunters Point

San Francisco Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) may have fooled thousands in the 1960s in the Fillmore now called Western Addition. SFRA used Eminent Domain and the worse type of discrimination to steal homes from decent folks and put them on the street.

They will not repeat that in the Bayview Hunters Point - we shall not be moved.

At a recent hearing held at City Hall before the Land Use Committee and called for by Ross Mirkarimi the SFRA confessed that it had done a poor job before and from the actions it revealed a worse job today. SFRA started using dubious tactics since 1964 and they continue to adversely impact thousands today in San Francisco.

SFRA keeps sending notices to folks that were displaced, their homes stolen, and gets back over eighty percent of the notices because the notices cannot reach the right people.

Yet, for the last 40 years SFRA has not changed its ways - it continues to adversely impact poor folks especially. SFRA keeps sending the notices and keeps getting them back. Now, they are not ashamed to state that they have been at it - the wrong way, and will they continue doing the same?

Middle class African Americans were forced to stay in Single Residential Occupancy (SROs) rooms after being displaced since 1964 in the Fillmore. Many were forced to live in very dirty conditions and among drug users. Too many died surrounded by the worst conditions and this Racist City - has thought nothing about it.

Making matters worse are Uncle Toms like Sophie Maxwell, Willie B. Kennedy, Aurelious Walker, Calvin Jones, Olin Webb, and a host of other House Negroes that do not think about their fellow African Americans and are on the take. These scum bags work with SFRA.

SFRA, tried to come into the BVHP using ploys and expanding the Survey Area to a Project Area without due process. The demographics in the BBHP has changed with Asians, Samoans, Latinos, Whites, occupying many homes - there has been no meaningful dialog with this population.

Most people do not fully understand the role of SFRA and SFRA has used House Negroes to do their dirty work.

Had it not been for Brian O'Flynn and a few of us that worked hard to collect 33,200 signatures - SFRA would have been all over the place - adversely impacting thousands.

Years before that Sophie Maxwell tried another ploy - using Mark Leno who is in Sacramento she tried to create an Authority much like the Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA) at Hunters Point Shipyard - Sophie wanted it called HUPSDA - Hunters Point Shipyard Development Authority.

Had Sophie Maxwell got HUPSDA she would be playing hell with the community - but that was not to be.

Well, Andrew Bozeman, Francisco Da Costa, Ahimsa Porter Sumchai went to Sacramento and shot HUPSDA down. Mark Leno did not like it but we exposed the crook once and for all.

Since then Mark Leno has been playing games - siding with Pacific Gas and Electric parent company - pretending to do good but screwing the constituents of Bayview Hunters Point. Mark Leno has done nothing for the constituents of BVHP and we should tell him that.

Mark Leno has not spoken against SFRA and he has not worked for the people that need help most. He may want to run for Senator - and it is left to us to permit him to become one and we can exercise our vote.

Recently, Sophie Maxwell introduced some legislation to rezone areas in the Bayview Hunters Point to suit the needs of some vested interests. The SF Planning Commission shot it down. Thanks to Espanola Jackson and Francisco Da Costa.

For over one and half hours the deliberation went on - 3 proposals were introduced - 3 times the question was called - 3 times the proposition failed. The SF Planning Commission sent Sophie Maxwell a very strong message - that Sophie Maxwell should not abuse the system.

Time and time again - some crooks spend hours behind close doors - plotting to introduce so called "policy matters " linked to Land Use. These policies favor some crooks and time and time again when introduced have been shot down. Sophie Maxwell has failed time and time again.

The residents from Alice Griffith that live in Public Housing, encountered the same with Sophie Maxwell.

Sophie Maxwell, went directly before the SF Board of Supervisors to try to adversely impact the residents. We had to send the matter back to Committee and ratify the language to give the Alice Griffith residents a chance to address Quality of Life issues - and their given residential status.

Behind Sophie Maxwell is Marsha Rosen - the most despicable racist ever to head any Agency - she is the Director of SFRA.

Bottom line, we have to be vigilant every single day. The 33,200 signatures is before a judge. We have good lawyers representing the poor and those that need help in the Bayview Hunters Point.
For now SFRA is stalled in the Byaview Hunters Point but we have to deal with sell outs like Sophie Maxwell.

Some powerful forces are behind Sophie Maxwell, Lennar Corp. to steal land and use " Land Banking" to make millions. We are aware of these crooks and many mostly Blacks that are on the take. Uncle Toms harming their own people for bread crumbs.
