Potrero Hill Public Housing
Potrero Hill Public Housing is suffering because of lack of funds and personnel cuts to the SF Housing Authority. Sophie Maxwell the District 10 Supervisor and her cronies like the Potrero Boosters that you see at most of the Land Use Meetings - will not lift a finger to help those that need help most at the Potrero Hill Public Housing. While Sophie Maxwell gives large breaks and bends backwards to help the Matag Mogul on Potrero Hill - innocent, poor folks suffer each and every day.
The Potrero Boosters are all over the places making deals and meeting with Sophie Maxwell behind close doors.
Sophie Maxwell carved out sites with special deals for the Matag Mogul and other large developers while adversely impacting small builders.
Again and again when you mention Potrero Public Housing - Sophie Maxwell will NOT do a thing to help innocent, poor, folks.
The plan is slowly to board up all of Public Housing at Potrero Hill - bring in the SF Redevelopment Agency and build high rise buildings for the filthy rich.
Right now Sophie is working to remove residents from Alice Griffith and introduced a Resolution before the full SF Board of Supervisors. Some of us caught it and sent it back to the Land Use. Never mind we did what it takes in a democracy.
The pissed-off Sophie Maxwell kept blaming us for doing the right thing.
Trying her best to rid folks that live in "low Income" and "No Income" housing. Sophie is busy partnering with folks that can give her something as she is a lame duck - on the take - and having no clue what harm she is doing to Black folks.
Go to Potrero Hill and check out things for yourself. Half the buildings are boarded up. Mayor Gavin Newsom says we have no housing. Thousands of folks sleeping on the streets, under freeways, in the bushes - while the snorting goes on and people in high places are falling on their faces.
Never mind that the filthy rich went to live next to Public Housing at Potrero Hill. Now, that the rich have the clout they want the poor out:
