by Max Diorio
As court martial proceedings against Iraq War resister Lt. Ehren Watada proceed at Fort Lewis in Washington State, Bay Area supporters hold daily public solidarity vigils.

Watada supporters and anti-war activists have demonstrated solidarity with Lt. Watada and those demonstrating at Fort Lewis by bannering twice daily at the pedestrian overpass over Interstate 80 at the Berkeley Marina in addition to anchoring afternoon vigils at Powell and Market in San Francisco. On Monday evening, supporters gathered in Chinatown to make banners, hear a reportback from Ft. Lewis, and to plan for future actions. The solidarity vigils are scheduled to continue through Wednesday.
