SAN JOSE CAMPUS POLICE AT INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL CHARGES A STUDENT A FELONY FOR SITTING ON A CAMPUS GOLF CART!

THE VICE PRINCIPAL VALVERDE STATED HE WILL DEFEND THE POLICE INSTEAD OF THE STUDENT!

On January 4, 2007 at around 2:30 p.m. Armando Castro felt tired and never thought that sitting for a moment on the campus golf cart was a crime. But when 15-year old Armando got off the golf cart, the San Jose campus police officer Erick H. Enderle Badge No. 3319, grabbed him from behind, yelling at Armando, calling him filthy names such as f….. Mexican and pushed him to sit down and continued yelling at him. This San Jose police officer terrified Armando that the police officer even promised that he was going to make sure that Armando be sent to prison because he had two brothers that are judges. Then made Armando sign a paper without his parent’s presence or permission and charged Armando with stealing the golf cart, which is a felony charge. Knowing the history of the San Jose police of killing and brutalizing people, this officer went as far as coercing 15-year old Armando to fight with the officer so that the officer would have a reason to maim or kill this young man.

Sadly, the school did not protect or defend the student. The school has even allowed the San Jose police to continue harassing not only Armando but also the other students that were with Armando. Since then, one student was so terrified that he left the school and went to another state! Armando’s parents are also thinking of taking Armando out of Independence High School because they are terrified of the San Jose police and feel that neither the school nor the District are protecting their son. The parents feel that their son is being criminalized with the assistance of this school that is looking more like a police department and not an educational institution!

Charges against 15-year old Armando Castro must be dropped immediately!

q Please support Armando by calling the District Attorney who will decide to prosecute this young man at:

Please call Independence High School Vice Principal Ray Valverde to drop charges: 408-928-9521 and tell him to drop charges. Tell him that he must support his students and not the police!
