Sports=war

by Ted Rudow III,MA
DID YOU KNOW THAT THE NICARAGUA-EL SALVADOR WAR, IN WHICH 20,000 PEOPLE WERE KILLED, STARTED OVER A FOOTBALL GAME? In fact, Ernest Hemingway, the world famous writer, who spent so much of his time in Latin America and Spain, said you could eliminate most Latin American wars and their causes by simply banning football or soccer!

Those games get them so worked up into a frenzy against each other that nothing but a total all-out war can truly satisfy the spirit of it!
THE ULTIMATE FULFILLMENT OF SPORTS IS WAR!--Destroying the other guy's body that your body might live! War is the ultimate fulfillment of the competitive spirit: the destruction of others for self-preservation. Sports is war in disguise, and the Olympics disguised all this under the totally false and contrary theme song of "Peace"! That's their theme!--Isn't that something! So they speak peace while war is in their hearts, and they talk peace while they prepare for war--prepare their bodies for war.
IN FACT, IN ARTICLE ATICLE IN NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE," Myths of Sport", a conference of 1800 scientists suggested that sports actually aggravate conflict and aggression, as well as damage bodies!
THEREFORE, THE WORSHIP OF SPORTS IN ALL NATIONS IS A SECRET WORSHIP OF WAR, the ultimate of all man's creations!--Destruction!--And it is supported by the warmongers, the Systemites of all Systemites! Sports have become the most nationalistic and patriotic of all the System's games, aside from its ultimate game, which is war! It is worshipped by the brutal, the violent and the cruel; and the sports the world loves best are the most brutal, the most violent, the most cruel and the most destructive, especially war! America is the greatest advocate on earth of both sports and war, and therefore the guiltiest of all! All these are an abomination to the Lord: Sports, supernationalism, and war!

Football is now America's pastime?

Abstract:
Baseball is no longer America's Pastime. There was the players' strike in 1994, the ever-growing and insane contracts for mediocre players and the lucrative team payrolls (For example, the New York Yankees paying over a $250 million a year).

posted 1/30/07 @ 10:47 AM EST Cowboys center Andre Gurode needed stitches above his forehead and beneath his eye Sunday after being kicked twice by Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth. Haynesworth, standing over him, used his right foot to kick Gurode in the head. Gurode said they hadn't been talking or having any exchanges that led to Haynesworth kicking him twice. Haynesworth, who was ejected, expects to be disciplined. "What I did out there was disgusting," Haynesworth said. "It doesn't matter what the league does to me. The way I feel right now, you just can't describe it."

Did he used steroids? But the link toward violence and steroids is a fact !"The perspective of the bodybuilder: how bodybuilders try to maintain competent social identities; how they manage the risks of using steroids and other physique-enhancing drugs; how they understand the alleged steroid-violence link; and how they see the muscular body".(Bodybuilding,Drug and Risk, Lee Monaghan)
Romanowski, who had been accused of taking steroids, was on trial.Tryout Marcus Williams, who sued Romanowski for crushing his eye socket with a punch in practice two years ago, essentially ending his football career. Williams' attorney,Brosnahan claims the punch also left Williams with mild traumatic brain injury with cognitive impairment. Williams is seeking $3.8 million in damages from Romanowski.
"Ex-49er Lott also acknowledged that the NFL is a violent, emotional game. But he also testified that "I think there are boundaries" in the NFL when it comes to violent conduct. And in an earlier exchange, when Romanowski's lawyer described NFL football as "going to war," Lott had objected. "How would you describe it if it's not a war?" Williams' attorney later asked Lott." It's a game," Lott replied.
It's the spirit of competition and pride, proving you're better than the other guy. So they take steriods! But the world just loves it! And even if they don't play the game themselves, they get into the same spirit by rooting for one team or the other. It's a thrill and high for them if their team wins, and a real low if their team loses. Just look at the results of some of these losses or delays or problems even with the broadcast of some of these sports events. People riot and get violent! Businesses close so they can watch the event on TV. It becomes big news.
It's just that spirit of winning and being the best, coming out on top and being better, and getting paid for it. Pride and money, success and fame--pretty powerful tools. But Jesus said,"Blessed are the peacemakers..".
