Tents Not Bombs - Volunteers Needed

I have long suffered from schizo-affective disorder some years have been better then others, this has been a very good year, I am working regularly and can now afford to start helping others. During some of my down years I spent living on the streets, squatting and even spent some time in prison. I am trying to collect items that I wished I had had when I was living on the edges of our society. Primarily is shelter, any shelter. Let's try to at least give people some dignity, with a solid tent to sleep under. We all know people need ongoing shelter we walk past unsheltered people sleeping all the time on the streets. I know that without my ability to create my own squatted shelter I would not have survived those very dark years. I learned alot from groups like Food Not Bombs and Homes Not Jails. I would like to also create a network of dry-sanitation toilets which can be easily maintained with the cooperation of Public Works. There are many other things we can be doing, like creating a autonomous zone for homeless people in SOMA, etc. Anyway, this is just one person trying to help others with some insight from my experiences dealing with mental illness and homelessness.
