Miami mayor Manny Diez protested, called "rat" at DC mayoral convention

by WSQT Guerrilla Radio 87.9 FM in DC (wsqtradio [at] hushmail.com)

The Laborers Union brought out the giant inflatable rat, and the "Tony the Rat" somg was changed to "Manny the Rat" for Manny Diez of Miami.

The police ordered the laborers to take down the 20 foot inflatable rat, so one of Power U's speakers denounced them for taking down "the wrong rat."

The rat went up anyway-for about 5 minutes-as busses full of mayors from so many U$ cities were unloading in the driveway of the museum. Soon all the rats were in one trap, so to speak. Gentrification is a national menace and shame, so gentrifiers anywhere should be protested everywhere.

Power U from Miami has vowed to follow Manny the Rat wherever he goes until he stop throwing people out of their homes, and this song will help:

Manny the Rat! Manny the Rat!
He is the Mayor and he is a rat!

He's evicting us all, cause money he loves-

He is the Mayor and he is a rat!
