oppose an attempt by city staff to prevent the growing of fruit and veg in front yards

Come to oppose an attempt by city staff to prevent the growing of fruit and veg in front yards. The city wants to cut the amount of permissible plantable space in front yards from 100% down to only 30%. This violates the spirit of the city having signed the Urban Environmental Accords on Earthday last year -- a good photo op for Mayor Fargo but apparently intended only as lip service while the rest of the city goes about business as usual in favor of environmentally unsustainable lawns vs. promoting edible gardens.
