gender neutral bathroom directory
Several bay area genderqueers are working to create a searchable gender neutral bathroom directory, accessible in a variety of formats. At the moment, the site is very rudimentary and only accessible through a web browser, but offers the beginnings of a great resource for those who may not feel comfortable with the rigid binary of bathrooms in our society.
The authors are seeking feedback and more bathroom entries to build the database. The project has only begun and there is still a lot of work being done on to improve the scripting and layout, but you can visit the site at http://safe2pee.org/beta/.
Presently San Francisco has the most entries (there are maybe 20 listed), but Portland also has a handful. Feel free to add new cities and bathrooms elsewhere! Those with comments, ideas, feature requests or a desire to assist with the project may contact safe2pee at riseup dot net
