WHAT: Explore your own family identity on Family Day at The Contemporary Jewish Museum. View works from The Jewish Identity Project: New American Photography, participate in gallery activities, and make a unique family portrait. Featuring a rollicking sing-along concert by musician and educator Jonathan Bayer. Snacks will be served.
The Jewish Identity Project: New American Photography features works by thirteen emerging and mid-career artists that challenge familiar stereotypes in ten newly commissioned photographic, video and multimedia projects. The exhibition explores the heterogeneity of contemporary American society through the lens of Jewish identity. On view through April 29, 2007.
