NoBay Peace Mural In Search of a Wall
Marin Center for Peace and Justice has a mural dedicated to peace, in honor of two former members that is in search of a wall in the Ross Valley
The Peace Center of Marin (as opposed to our other Peace Group here, the Peace and Justice Coalition) has, after community input, designed a Peace Mural with Susan Cervantes of Precita Eyes (Mission District Mural fame) in honor of two indefatigable peace and justice activists in Marin who are now passed on.
After several setbacks with local government-concerned, ostensibly with aesthetics (this IS the suburbs, after all) and the content of the mural being (astoundingly), controversial, we are now in posession of a world class mural without a public wall on which to display it.
Getting something like this done in the upscale 'burbs is no cakewalk and we need help!
We will be having another public meeting in mid January (email me for particulars) and can use all the help we can get.
