Yo Free Skoolers,
Next Tuesday November 28th, the Can It! DIY Fruit picking and preservation Class will be all about the PERSIMMON, the most brilliantly-colored tree in Santa Cruz. Convene 4 PM at the intersection of HIGH and MOORE Streets for a wild bike ride through this persimmon-laden town, to find and pick persimmons both ripe and unripe, of every variety we can find (including Fuyu). Meet 6 PM at the Santa Cruz Youth Hostel (on Main Street up on Beach Hill) to bake delicious persimmon bread: the "solution" to astringent persimmons. Live wild, Jackal |
