The Encyclopedia Project reading and launch party to celebrate Encyclopedia, Volume 1, A-E, the first of five encyclopedias of fiction, prose and art edited by Tisa Bryant, Miranda F. Mellis, and Kate Schatz. This volume borrows the aesthetic and form of the encyclopedia but torques the content. It features the work of some 114 writers, scholars, performers and artists from all over the country. In this encyclopedia you'll find email exchanges, experimental essays, woodcuts, vignettes, short stories, interviews, a rebus, and 32 pages of color art, all cross-referenced intuitively and poetically. Join fabulous Bay Area contributors to Vol. 1 as they read from their entries and share their art. For more information about the Encyclopedia check out encyclopediaproject.org
