Take Action Against Outrageous Police Torture of UCLA student

by L.A. Indymedia
A student was brutally tortured Tuesday, November 14th, by two "community service officers" in plainview of other students in a library. Anyone who tried to question the cops were also threatened with tazers. This event is starkly captured on video and depicts startling cruelty and torture. Please take action now by calling UCLA's Chancellor and demanding the immediate cessation of the use of these weapons and the firing of these "officers." This incident follows another recent incident of police brutality in Los Angeles, also captured on video, where two LAPD officers sat on a victim and one repeatedly punched him in the face.

This is outrageous. You really need to be warned ahead of time that this video is very troubling and outrageously inhumane. If people treated an animal like this, they'd be locked up. There is no excuse whatsoever for the way this young man was treated. Furthermore, he screamed that he had a medical condition, yet they continued to tazer him when he wouldn't (couldn't) stand up. Do I even need to tell you that this student has a middle eastern name?!?

Please look at this video and then TAKE ACTION by calling the Chancellor's and demanding:

1. The immediate and permanent cessation of the use of tazers campuswide.
2. The immediate dismissal of these two officers who acted indefensibly cruel and inhumane.
