Three cheers for the loss of Senate chairmanship for extreme anti-environmentalist Inhofe

Besides his House partner in crime, Pombo (1, 2, 3, 4), who even lost his congressional seat this Tuesday, Senator Inhofe has consistently been one of the biggest anti-environmental, anti-animal legislators in America.

from a corporate article regarding the election shift this week:

Nowhere is the change starker than with Boxer's impending chairwomanship of the Environment and Public Works Committee, where she takes the reins from a conservative Republican who thinks global warming is a hoax.

She vowed to push through global warming legislation next year, taking California's landmark model nationwide -- a move Feinstein proposed in a major speech in August in San Francisco.
SF Chron

That Senator who thinks global warming is a hoax is the infamous Senator Inhofe, who used his national chairmain soapbox, along with the FBI, to declare that ALF, ELF, and even mainstream environmental groups were literally public enemy #1 in the U.S. Numerous hearings were held.

Could this mean the heat will be off on this overblown puffed-chest-law-and-order attack on environment and animal rights activists? Or will the new Democratic congress continue to encourage this behavior by the US justice department?
