Dishing It!: Chewing on the Election

Dishing It!, a queer women's discussion and social group at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, will have its next meeting on Tuesday, November 7th at The Center, from 7-9pm. During this meeting, Dishing It! will discuss the election and what it means to queer women. Apple pie will accompany their queer civics discussion.

At each meeting, group members have a chance to discuss a topic of interest and then socialize freely over free refreshments. The group meets every other Tuesday at the Center from 7 - 9 pm. Dishing It! is an activity of Center Women Present, a queer women's initiative started at the Center.

The next two discussion topics of Dishing It! will include:
· Families of origin and created families what issues can arise during the holidays?: November 21st
· Marriage Equality: December 5th

All events occur at The Center – 1800 Market Street @ Octavia.

Dishing It! is organized by Center Women Present, the Center's women's programming initiative. Dishing It! meets every other Tuesday, 7-9 pm, at the Center. Center Women Present is a queer women's initiative started at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, serving all self-identified women, including lesbians, queer and bisexual women, and female-identified transgender individuals. The program intends to address women's community issues through volunteer-led projects and is shaped primarily by input of community members, with assistance of The Center's staff. The San Francisco LGBT Community Center, formed in 1993, is the nexus of the LGBT community in the Bay Area, offering facilities, a central location in San Francisco and vibrant programs in health and wellness, information and referral, arts and culture and economic development in all parts of our community.
