PROTEST VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN- EL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Join Amnesty International activists to commemorate
EL DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
Visit the Mexican Consulate and the Guatemala Consulates in San Francisco
to demand justice and to stop the violence against women.

Since 1993, almost 400 women and girls have been murdered and more than 70 remain missing in Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua, Mexico.

In Guatemala, 2200 women have been killed since 2001.

In both countries exceptional cruelty and sexual violence characterize the killings.

Those in solidarity will be delivering petitions and hundreds
of handmade crosses to the consulates across the nation.
Each cross represents each of the women who have been brutally murdered.
