!Zapatista! Making Another World Possible!

by Northtown Books Arcata
Author of "Zapatistas! Making Another World Possible; 2000-2006" will be at Northtown Books in Arcata. Chance for community to dialogue about solidarity response to police military violence in Oaxaca, how we can all make that other world possible..
John Ross, author of "Zapatistas!" will be at Northtown Books, 957 H Street in Arcata on Friday, Nov. 3rd beginning at 7:30 PM. To have a world were many worlds are possible is the long range goal of the Zapatistas, based on autonomy, concensus, human rights and ecoawareness (amor para Madre Tierra), etc.. This free public event provides the community of Arcata a window into making the Zapatistas world one step closer towards reality. People can dialogue on showing solidarity with indigenous autonomy in the states of Chiapas, Oaxaca, etc.. when people are confronted with police oppression..
