Today Scott Givens announced that San Francisco is open to welcome the 2016 Olympics
Angelo King the Project Area Committee (PAC) Chair announced that today, Oct 27, 2006 San Francisco is seriouly contending to bring the 2016 Summer Olympics to San Francisco. Children from the Visitation Valley Middle School, Bernhardt, and another school were brought in an given awards. Then Scott Givens who worked to bring the Salt Lake Olympics spoke and once again announced that Chicago and Los Angeles were strong contenders - but San Francisco stands a good chance to bring the Summer Olympics 2016 right here to the Bayview Hunters Point.
Scott Givens tried his best to state some facts but got it wrong especially when he mentioned that Parcel C is the most toxic when in fact Parcel E is the one.
He also stated that the community has been consulted but the fact is that the community has not. I am talking about the Bayview Hunters Point community.
Scott Givens means well when he makes general statements about the Olympics - but he has no clue that simply stating that the Olympic Village will be situated at Hunters Point - Parcel B, C. D, and E and I suppose F which is the surrounding Bay all will be abated and mitigated.
His understanding of the situation is poor and his pronouncements - naive.
Anything is possible but Scott Givens has no clue what he is talking about when you deal with Parcel E.
It will cost a Billion dollars, yes a billion dollars and more to clean Parcel E. The United States Navy that has jurisdiction at this time - has stated time and time again that it is better NOT to disturb Parcel E.
Well, if one caps Parcel E and since it contains radiological elements - no one can guarantee the Health and Safety of anyone and it would NOT be prudent to expose thousands of innocent Olympians and visitors to elements that would adversely impact their lives.
A letter has been sent to the International Olympic Committee and so they are fully aware of the situation at hand. A letter has also been sent to the United Nations.
Of course the Main Media will not give you these facts - so here you go again - Indymedia is the one to reveal these facts to you all that want to educate yourselves about real facts and machinations going on at City Hall and behind close doors.
The City under Mayor Gavin Newsom and led by Jess Blout the Director of Economic Development and Workforce has embraced Scott Givens under his Department.
How this works I do not know - but knowing Jesse Blout and his affliation with Marsha Rosen and the SF Redevelopment Agency - anything he does as far as I am concerned has dubious implications.
San Francisco is a lovely City and one of the most famous tourist spots in the world.
San Francisco has serious transportation problems when it comes to catering to millions of people. It also has a housing situation and an Olympic Village surely is needed but NOT in an area that can adversely impact millions - directly and indirectly.
Health and Safety is critical and paramount to all human beings.
Lennar Bayview Hunters Point Limited Liability Corporation is looking forward to use any ploy to make millions of dollars. One has just to go to their main web site and check out these crooks.
Lennar is the worst developer in the Nation and we in San Francisco should not have anything to do with them - what so ever.
The Mayor Gavin Newsom is a dreamer and it is good to dream but once you awake - one has to deal with reality. I can see the Blums, the Gettys, Shoresteins, Fishers, and there are others lending money to make huge amounts of money.
The rich in this Nation control our economy and there are some that want all of San Francisco for themselves. I saw it with the Presidio of San Francisco and Nancy Pelosi concept of the Presidio Trust that is going no where.
The Presidio Trust was created to Commercialize the Presidio. No one ever thought that first the Presidio of San Francisco would be declared a National Park and then the Presidio Trust would be created - to cater to some vested thugs that do not have the benefit of the ordinary constituent of this Nation and San Francisco.
The Bayview has many " people of color " and 60 percent of the homes are owned by "people of color ". First the Mayor and his cronies started by permiting the SF Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) to expand the Project area to cover most of the Bayview Hunters Point.
Over 2568 acres directly and indirectly come under the SFRA.
Prior to that we had the SF Planning Department hold work shops dealing with the Eastern Neighborhoods. I attended all the work shops. These plans - the hard work of the people were case aside and shelved.
The SFRA with the blessing of Mayor Willie L. Brown and Mayor Gavin Newsom fast tracked the SFRA Survy Area, to Project Areas, and now the SFRA is poised to take control over the whole of Bayview Hunters Point.
SF Planning Department plays second fiddle to SFRA.
This nonsense would NOT have happened in a White Neighborhood which is why after giving our Mayor the benefit of the doubt - I now know for a fact that he is a RACIST.
Every ploy has been used to force poor people out of the Public Housing.
It is a shame to see 60 percent of Public Housing boarded up. The Housing Authority has its excuses but one can see it clearly in the plans - behind the scenes the City and County of San Francisco and SFRA are working hand in hand.
It is just a matter of time before those that pay hundreds of dollars per year as Property Taxes will have to pay Thousands of Dollars - once those properties come under the Project Area and the SFRA thug pratices are enforced.
In the mean time thug forces are busy trying to make plans for an Olympic Village in an area that is famous the world over as prime toxic site linked with the early Atomic Experiments and the cleaning of submarines and other ships that took part in the Bikini Atomic Experiments and Tests.
The surrounding area near the Hunters Point today has the highest cases of Cancer and other chronic diseases. No one is paying attention to this fact.
The San Francisco Health Deaprtment under Doctor Rajiv Bhatia is looking the other way.
Another crony of the Mayor Amy Brownell has not served this City and adversely impacted thousands of constituents - mostly children. She has blood on her hands especially being a mother - but she lives away from this City and comes here just to get her salary.
I was listening and paying careful attention to what was being said. People of color cannot allow such nonsense to go on and on.
Outside the school and before the meeting Acorn Members were protesting against the Corporate Greed.
A handful of sellouts mostly Blacks the likes of Doris Vincent, Sophie Maxwell, Olin Webb, Angelo King, Oscar James ( who now does the catering for SFRA and events such as today's),
others are all ready for the spoils.
It is a pity when Blacks will prey on Blacks just for some bread crumbs.

The U.S. Navy dececrated Parcels A, B, C, D, E, and F under the Bay and beyond. Nothing good came from all the millions spent by the Navy.

In the unlikely event that the Olympics shows its police state face, glorifying nationalism and the rich people of the world, it will mean certain gridlock for the entire Bay Area. Every bridge and major street will be a parking lot. This country is notorious for not providing public transportation, even for special events. This was true in Lake Placid (1980 and Atlanta (1996), and public transit has declined in this country since then. It is long overdue that the summer Olympics be permanently in Athens, Greece and the winter Olympics be permanently in Lillehammer, Norway.
The City and County of San Francisco does not have a sound Transportation Document initiated and completed by the SF Planning Department. Very important before we have the initial planning of the Summer Olympics - 2016.
The present transportaion GRID is directed Down Town. Our buses, our light rail, our vehicles of every tpye head to SF Down Town even though we have built homes and facilities in other direction.
The transportation system in the Southeast Sector of San Francisco is pathetic to say the least.
The very area where the Olmpics are planned to be hosted. The area around Monster Park and the surrounding area. Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.
SF Planning has not deemed it fit to have a Transportation Document even though SF Planning Department proclaims our City to be Transit First.
We have some very serious issues in San Francisco that we have to deal with linked to infrastructure, energy, raw sewage, housing, and Health and Safety. Our SF population is about 760,000.
Our day time population increases to 1 million plus. If the Olympics are held we could have 2 million people on any one day.
In the Bayview Hunters Point for decades there has been no healing. For decades mostly people of color were not given opportunities. Now suddenly many are told to leave their homes for one reason or another - mostly in Public Housing.
But. now in the same area plans are afoot to build an Olympic Village and other facilities linked with the Olympics.
Without any discussion the Mayor's Office of Economic Development and Jesse Blout and under his juridiction a number of folks - mostly White - all purporting to work for his Office and in favor of holding the Summer Olympics - 2016.
It came as a great surprise to me when Scott Givens began to expalin that the concept of housing the Olympians at Hunters Point. Scott Given explained that he had a major role to play in the Salt Lake Olympics.
It is critical that this City have a good Environmental Impact Study - and focus on the atomic experiments conducted at Hunters Point during and after the World War II effort.
The Center of Diseases Control (CDC), the Department of Toxic and Substances Control (DTSC), the SF Health and other Saftey Agencies all looked into the Health concerns that now adversely affect the people surrounding the Hunters Point Shipyard.
It is also critical that we study and bring back and evaluate the Unfinished Agenda document initiated by the SF Human Right Commission.
The Olympics have to seen in a holistic manner. The Olympics and the staging of this world event in today's world is also about money and the spending of billions to make this world event feasible.
