we will be screening the movie "savreni krug" (the perfect
circle)1997/drama/ bosnia/france
about the film: "during war time the bonds forged by those struggling to survive can be stronger than blood ties, something an emotionally distant bosnia poet discovers when he befriends a pair of orphans and helps them search for their last surviving family member."
6:30 - food and talk with jamie (who lived and worked in bosnia for four years) and shon (who has travelad all over the balkans and is the author of the book "a north american anarchist in the balkans")
7:30 - film "a perfect circle"
this is a benefit for buildingbloc arts collective
we are a radical arts collective that corresponds directly with folks in prison and creates performances and art shows based on this correspondence.
$5- $5,000 sliding scale
come eat popcorn with some amazing folks and help buildingbloc continue in the vital work that we do!!!!!!
