Dear Friends, this October 23 and 24, 2006 Costa Rica is
going to have a general strike against CAFTA (TLC in
spanish). CAFTA is now in the Congress (Asamblea
Legislativa) and the goverment is trying to aprove it.
The majority of the Unions (Electricity, Security
health, Water, Universities, and others), Student
organizations, and independent popular organizations have
organized the national strike. We are going to march
and take the principal streets in the capital and in
the provinces, as well the main roads of the country.
I feel there is going to be a big fight because the
people are angry and don't want the agreement.

I'll inform about the development of the strike.
