Berkeley Councilmember Max Anderson was arrested then cited and released when he stood in solidarity with workers at U.C.Berkeley who are protesting stagnant wages and benefits for the rank and file while the administration steals millions.

This action was part of a coordinated day of action on October 18 for AFSCME service workers. At UC Santa Cruz, students and workers shut down the base of campus for 45 minutes earlier in the day (before the big protest of the UC Regents), while at UC Santa Barbara, students occupied the Chancellor's office over a variety of issues.
