¡Rini! ¡Presente!
For 20 years a brilliant artist-activist, RINI TEMPLETON (boldfaced & capped), illustrated the struggles of the people in the United States, Mexico, Central America and Cuba. Before her early death in 1986, Rini made thousands of unsigned drawings to be reproduced and used freely for popular movements. Today we see her images everywhere, as this exhibition confirms. Opening Program & Reception: Saturday, October 28th 2006, 6:00 pm Featuring : Malaquias Montoya, Elizabeth Martínez, Peter Baird, Favianna Rodriguez, Alejandro Alvarez, Lynne Templeton Brickley, Craig Smith Exhibition Dates: October 28-November 18 Galeria de la Raza Studio 24 2857 24th St. San Francisco, CA Hours Wed-Sat 1-6 For more information, contact: Design Action, (510) 452-1912 Sponsors: Design Action Collective, Data Center, TUMIS, Rini Templeton Memorial Fund, Inkworks Press
