Movie Screening: Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill

The Oakland Zoo is hosting a screening of The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill on Decemeber 8. This is a delightful movie, and there are amazing, beautiful shots of the City, and of the parrots.

Best of all, proceeds benefit Mickaboo Cockatiel (and parrot) Rescue (http://www.mickaboo.org). We have taken in a number of injured/ill cherry-heads from the wild flock and have gotten them the vet care they needed - all funded by donations to our group. We are so grateful to Mark Bittner & Judy Irving for arranging for us to benefit from this event. So if you go, you'll really be seeing a great movie and helping some of the flock members as well!
