Anti-War Rally at Town Clock Noon Thursday October 5

U.S. OUT OF IRAQ rally co-ordinated with rallies across the nation at the Town Clock at noon October 5th Thursday. Bring signs, banners, bullhorns, cameras, sleeping bags, staying power, and friends.

Along with folks in 200 other cities, I and other Santa Cruzans will be showing up to oppose the definitive shredding of the Constitution (bye, bye, habeas corpus), the refunding of the Iraqi war, etc.

HUFF (Homeless United for Friendship & Freedom) will urge a resumption of the Vigil Against Two Wars (War in Iraq and the War on the Poor locally).

America vs Vietnam and Iraq? What this?! If you are familiar with the US army recruiting site "Go Army" then you might want to check out this link:

It looks identical to the Go Army site but instead its advertising the next survivor... which seems to be based on a documentry on 2 america soldiers. You haven't seen it yet, you should check it out. Pretty funny.

§why another vigil?

What is with Santa Cruzans and the constant drive towards having yet another vigil? Can't we put our energy into something more effective/strategic? Forget the vigils and start trying to kick Lockheed out of the SC Mountains. Forget the vigils and shut down the Capitola recruitment center for a week. Forget the vigils and start organizing for specific goals!!
