The Sacramento Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility is pleased to announce that Daniel Ellsberg will be the keynote speaker at its October 22 Annual Dinner to be held at the California State University Sacramento Alumni Center.
Mr. Ellsberg is an author who released the "Pentagon Papers" in 1971 showing how much Americans had been deceived by their own government about Vietnam. Ever the activist, he was arrested for trespassing in November 2005 while protesting against George W. Bush and the war in Iraq. He is working on a new book and will speak on "Preventing a U.S. nuclear attack on Iran--What can we do?"
The event will begin at 6 pm with a Silent Auction, followed by Dinner, and then Talk beginning at 8 pm. Free parking is adjacent to the Center which is located at the southern end of the campus.
