9/28-10/Action Re: anti-GLBT decisions made by many Sacto Presbyterian churches

At the national conference the Presbyterian Church agreed not to ban GLBT clergy, but left the subject up to local synods. As a result, the Sacramento area synods of the Presbyterian churches have hurriedly passed a resolution not to ordain GLBT to the church ministry, continuing discrimination and oppression.

Jerry Frink has been demonstrating alone outside of the church, carrying a message that discrimination is unacceptable. He has received a good public response, but he needs your help! Please join Jerry in his fight for equality, in front of the Fremont Presbytirian Church , 5770 Carlson Drive , Sacramento California , 95819 . (Just west of the CSUS entrance.) Jerry will be there Thursday 9/28/06 1-3pm, Friday 9/29/06 5-7pm, and the biggest day, Sunday 10/1/06 9:30-11:30am.
