Isn't Immortal Technique with 50 cent now?
I heard hes a g-unit pranksta rapper.
I heard hes a g-unit pranksta rapper.
Seriously, check the styles and you could probably figure out real quick that this is just rumor. Although you could ask him this friday or saturday!
the fact that you're more worried about Technique actually coming than organizing against the injustices in our 'hoods lets me know that you're a fucking groupie and it's good that you don't believe it, that way I won't see you there drooling over Tech and jonesing for a picture or an autograph. groupies are NOT WELCOME! this isn't a show, this is organizing!
This is DEFINITELY not a show in any way, shape, or form. This is a working meeting for those who are down to go home and continue to do WORK...not just tabling, flyering whatever but REALLY doing the nitty gritty to build bridges and dialoque with others who are out of your comfort zone. We have updated the description...see the WHY? below.

You say that this isn't a performance, but how would anyone know that if they only saw the flyer? And most people will only see the flyer. The flyer doesn't say ANYTHING about any sort of meeting or workshop, it only says to come see Immortal Technique. But people only know Immortal Technique as a performer. People will come to this expecting a fucking hiphop show and a lot of them will be pissed off when they don't get it. Is he the featured speaker? Is he going to get up and talk for an hour or something? Otherwise, why the fuck would you make such a big deal about him being there? Getting people to come to your event with false expectations is a big mistake and its bad organizing.
yes, tech will only be talking...the flyer may be misleading to you but not others. fuck you to tell us that this is bad organizing....tech WILL talk about immigration b/c he is a philosopher and an activist not just a rapper.
I can't believe some of the comments for this event. Is it true that some in our community are only interested in being entertained or being critical of actions when other members of our community are being taken and separated from their families in the middle of the night? Kuumbwa critizing the community for trying to take control and making changes is pathetic- and shows that you know nothing about Immortal Technique or Adisa Banjoko or the community you live in. I would suggest you stop being critical, start being active- or better yet just shut up. Because if you are not a part of the solution, buddy, you are part of the problem!
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
