The concert will be held Sunday night, September 17 at 7:30 PM in the Theater at the New College of California, 777 Valencia St. in San Francisco.
The new CD is the third in the series of anti-Bush, anti-war CDs produced by New York City's George Mann. It features 17 diverse folk artists, from Britain's Billy Bragg to Utah Phillips, George and Julius, Pittsburgh's Anne Feeney and many more, singing songs about and against the Bush administration's policies and especially its war in Iraq.
Among the performers, 71-year-old Utah Philli ps is best known for his stories and songs of common workers and activists trying to build a better world. All of the artists are activist folk musicians who travel and sing for good causes throughout the nation and beyond.
The evening will begin with a short announcement/question and answer session featuring artists from the new CD and will then proceed to a concert. Admission to the event is by donation, $5 - $10 suggested.
