Boycott Air America Radio

by D. Grant Haynes
Popular Air America talk show host Mike Malloy was fired by Air America August 30 because he speaks too much truth to power. Progressive Americans who value free speech should boycott Air America unless and until Malloy is rehired. A petition which now has more than 14,000 signatures is available on the Internet.
I spent almost $200 a couple of months ago to acquire XM Satellite Radio technology SPECIFICALLY to hear Mike Malloy each night. I did this after the Atlanta Avondale Estates station on which I had been listening to him dropped Malloy because he did not kowtow to Zionists in this sick nation.

I had listened to Mike each night since getting the XM radio and was relieved and overjoyed when he announced recently that his contract with Air America had been renewed.

I do not know the specifics of why he is off the air and replaced by boring if well-meaning Thom Hartmann, but unless Malloy is reinstated, I will cancel my subscription to XM radio immediately and pack my radio in its box until there is something on XM worth listening to. Their recent programming changes have all been bad ones from my perspective. Without Malloy, there truly is nothing left on XM for me.

Randi Rhodes is okay, if grating on one's nerves eventually.

But Thom Hartmann and Al Franken, among others, are not worth my time and I will never seek their commentary out.

Mike Malloy is the only man I've ever heard on the U.S. news media who has the intestinal fortitude to tell the unvarnished truth about where this nation is going and what role the SOB's in the Bush administration are playing in destroying America.

Mike did not hold back his anger. I appreciated that.

Mike was human and often related personal anecdotes about his lovely wife and child--about his formative years in Ohio--about his own admitted foibles. I appreciated that too.

Mike Malloy is unique and is tremendously needed in America this fall to counteract the endless lies and manipulations of Bush and his handlers.

I enjoyed Mike's use of sound clips that illustrated George W. Bush's stupidity and limited IQ. Bush deserve to be mocked.

I agree with ALL that Mike Malloy said about Bush.

I will miss Mike Malloy, the brightest star in Air America's firmament.

I predict that Air America will fail and that will not bother me. They are as cowardly as all of America's other media whores who pull their punches and slant the news to appease corporate America and advertisers.

Bravo to Mike Malloy! He said many times that he would speak from his heart and if Air America could not accept that, they could fire him.

To hell with Air America.

Mike Malloy simply insulted anyone who didn't share his point of view. He never has any ideas of how to fix things he simply insults everyone.

Rush kicked his ass in Atlanta, he got fired in Chicago, and fired Again on Air America.

What you should probably realize is that he is a loser that can't keep a job and you are a member of his tiny fan base. HMMMMMM!
Thanks, you phony paranoid idiots - instead of trying to use your voice and connections to promote Air America or getting premium memberships, you pile on. Fucking idiots. I hate liberals because they eat their own and never learn.

Boycott the only reliable source of real news? Are you a Right Wing Moron under cover or just plain dumb?
by Mike
Portland carries AAR on KPOJ here but I podcasted my Malloy and Rhodes programs from The White Rose Society<a href="url">http://www.whiterosesociety.org/

I'll tell you, it was not that AAR fired him, it was how they fired him. Shows me that they acted exactly just like every other radio station management (right wingers included), shallow and thoughtless! I called, sent emails and bitched but it fell upon deaf ears :(

I hope they hire him back in the day time; he is very potent and told the truth about these phony christians:

I loved your comments. Mike is the best liberal host by far. His emotion is totally real and his concern is genuine. Peter Werbe and Hartman may be accurate, but are very boring and sleepy. Randi Rhodes is like a computer buzzing with her facts. But she is not boiling with murderous rage like Mike. There is some wierd effect, because it is totally soothing and relaxing to listen to Mike's rage night after night. Let's pray he goes to Sirius where he won't be censored at all. Plus they have a great gay channel too with Mike Signorile.

I am appalled at the firing of Mike Malloy also. I had a premium subscription to AAR because of Mike and I canceled it when he was dismissed. I also took my AAR bumper sticker off my car and mailed it back to them with a letter expressing my disappointment. I am just waiting now to hear where Mike will land because he will go somewhere and where ever that is, I will follow and so will a lot of other listeners. AAR made a huge mistake when they let go the only voice that is truly unafraid to speak truth to power! Mike Malloy rules!

Mike Malloy is the single strongest voice speaking truth to power in America today. If Air America is not smart enough to recognize that, I'm done with Air America. I was actually getting a little sick and tired of the hypocracy on Air America anyway. Most of the Jewish hosts on Air America are just fine with criticizing senseless US Government policy and the war in Iraq but clam up when it comes to criticizing senseless Israeli Government policy and the invasion of Lebanon. Sure they're progessive, until there is a real need to criticize the Israeli government for dropping tons and tons of cluster bombs on innocent women and children in Lebanon. The lone Goyim in the line up had the guts to speak up and they shut him up. Great job Air America!

He may have told the truth about phony christians, but he offended the true christians as well. You can't lump all of us into the same pile forever

Mike Malloy was fired in Chicago because he could not get along with anyone else. I don't know if he speaks the truth or not and nor do any of you. On more than one occassion he was caught lying and his response was to tell the caller, "Just go away'. Malloy may echo our own opinions, but kids just because we think it and just because we believe, does not make it so.

But blaming his firing on 'Zionists', no names, just the 'Zionists' is racist, Jewish-phobic, blind hatred and irresponsible garbage.
Maybe you hit your head on blunt objects repeatedly.

I have listened to Mike from the first DAY of IE America- I lobbied AAR to get him hired. Unfortunately Mike was way too far over the top. I would assume he lost affliates, his ratings were probably lousy, and he was a big pain in the ass for management.

I truly liked Mike----for about an hour every other day. Rude, crude, and absolutely unable to create a dialogue does not make for ood radio when you are insulting the majority of folks.
Radio is a business and Mike was not good for business.

I found your comments regarding Mike Malloy and the other AirAmerica personalities to be spot on. Mike Malloy was the best host AA had. Randi Rhodes has interesting views, but her presentation of them is intellectually sloppy. She is also a bit self-obsessed. Thom Hartmann is extremely intelligent. He can serve up some riveting radio, but when he spends too much time on an issue that isn't interesting to me, I lose patience and turn him off.

Mike Malloy (and his wife, Kathy) owned the airwaves. I will follow them on the radio dial where ever they go. I think the corporate bosses at AA didn't like the fact that, unlike those in the rest of the US media, Mike wasn't afraid to criticize the Israeli government for its illegal actions.

Thanks for the great blog.

We must pressure AA over time. More calls and emails. They will respond if we do not relent.

Grease that xm radio up and shoved it up AirHeadAmerica's orifice. Move to Sirius!!Mike Malloy will be on shortly. The brilliant Young Turds who are STILL republicans jumped ship last week and went to the bankrupt Devil Ship. NICE TIME SLOT----3 am to 6 am. Boy I am going to pod cast that !! Can't imagine Jill waking up that early to do anything!!Oh, yeah,Sirius subscribers--DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR THEIR INTERNET WEBCAST!!! My home town college fm station puts out more power than that piss-poor near-by AM that carries their crap. Remember! on your way to do the show to look out for the drunks that will be out also,I would hate for them to get hurt.
