PEOPLE of COLOUR and
PALESTINIAN STRUGGLE for LIBERATION
For too long now, the story of Palestine and the struggle of the Palestinian people have been left out, or quietly side-lined from causes officially advocated by the Anti-War "Movement", US unions and the not-for-profit sectors.
What these different liberal segments have in common, are
a. Strong influence of pro-Israel forces within their ranks;
b. A mostly "White" character;
c. The overwhelmingly middle-class nature of these organizations.
All this is not surprising! We live in the United States, the beast's den for Zionism, as well as being the center of global injustice and brutality in the world.
As Palestinians and as Arabs, we will not stand aside while watching the forces of evil openly slaughter our people, while others are afraid of saying anything critical of Zionists, Israel or the Jewish Lobby. We have had enough.
We are now coming to you: the poor, working class among immigrants and people of colour. You are our natural allies. We have been facing very similar dispossessive and criminal domination for centuries by now. We have accomplished great successes and bonded together within the framework of the
"immigrant" rights movement.
As we look ahead towards new challenges that will face us collectively on the class, race and "immigrant" levels, we call upon you to stand with the Palestinian people and their fellow Arabs in Lebanon and elsewhere.
We are human beings, not rats. We have history, dignity and honour. We will not accept any further murders against Palestinians and Arabs. Nor will accept insults, silence or disregard from US middle class organizations.
We call upon you all to stand with PALESTINE. We are all one in the struggle against globalization and modern colonialism.
