Siege at the Hilton Hotel in San Francisco by HERE Local 2

Members of The Hotel Employee's and Resturant Employee's Union local 2 staged a siege, a temporary picket line, Friday, July 21, 2006 in front of the Hilton Hotel on O'Farrell Street to highlight the fact that the Union's contract with the hotel expired on August 14 2004.

As former hotel/restaurant employee (and union member) I can tell you that what you see at a fancy hotel is a mirage...go back through the "employees only" doors and things get dramatically stark. Thanks Chuck, for documenting this action.
