In The Sista Hood, writer and filmmaker E-Fierce chronicles the struggles of young women trying to achieve their dream of becoming top hip-hop emcees, finding their sexual identity and themselves in the process. Born and raised in San Francisco's Mission neighborhood, E-Fierce refers to herself as a soul survivor of the school of life and cancer. She is the Co-Founder of Chica Luna Productions which supports women of color in entertainment media.
