Screenprint Poster Art: New Work from the SF Print Collective
This art show features the latest work from the SF Print Collective (SFPC) and student work from the SFPC’s Silkscreen Postermaking class. As a primer for public artists, Silkscreen Postermaking teaches students how to use the mass media for activist organizing with a focus guerrilla art, graphic design, and legal defense. Come and check out the hottest new talent to emerge from the workshop. Also on display: street posters from the SFPC’s 2006 anti-war campaign. Limited edition, hand-screened prints will be available for sale. . Admission is free and this event is wheel-chair accessible
The show includes Maile Arvin, Andy Blue, Vanessa Carr, Steff Eiter, Angelique Gonzales, Alfonso Jaramillo, Doug Levinthal, Mark McBeth, Doug Minker, Claude Moller, Patrick Piazza, Cheryln Quan, Marcela Reyes, Scott Ryan, Nadia Sussman, Stephan Tsochandaris, Mariana Viturro and Caroline Wallace.
Founded in 2000, the SFPC is a printmaking collective that uses graphic art to support social justice organizing. We use posters, banners and billboards to reclaim public space and fight for social justice.
TWO DAYS ONLY:

Open hours: 12-4pm Sun July 16
