Hello everyone:
Back by overwhelming demand! This Saturday, July 15th, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, we'll hold a major anti-occupation demonstration at 16th & Broadway, in Sacramento.
Since this event comes at a time when violence in the Middle East is more out of control than ever before, and while a momentum of support for Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink's "Troops Home Fast" is increasing across the country, we anticipate a very large gathering of peace supporters this Saturday.
Once again, we'll build upon the spectacular, colorful, energetic gathering of political voices that we've had there before. Please come out to oppose the US-sponsored unlawful occupations of Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine, and to support the thousands of people who are engaged in solidarity fasts throughout the country to bring the troops home from Iraq AND Afghanistan.
Please come out this Saturday and bring compelling signs and displays. Feel free to draw attention to any of the unlawful occupations being perpetuated by the US and/or Israel, or come to show support for the "Troops Home Fast."
We encourage creative and artsy sign-making or other modes of political expression, and it's always wonderful to hear music, drums, symbols and chants out there, so feel free to bring instruments! The processions through the crosswalks (people in motion) are also great, and we'll bring various national flags for that. We hope to see all of them in use.
To ensure another charged atmosphere with full participation, please forward this to others, and bring your friends, banners, flags, signs, art, instruments, culture, etc., to 16th & Broadway this Saturday from 7pm to 9pm.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you!
