Mumia's Fight for Justice Continues

Mumia Abu-Jamal has been behind bars since December 1981 for a crime he didn't commit.

His lawyer, Robert R. Bryan described the present status of the case at a press conference in San Francisco last month. Bryan's opening brief is due July 13, 2006.

He says there are three major issues he will argue to the U. S. Court of Appeals:
1) Racism in jury selection
2) Prosecutor's theory the jury had to find Mumia innocent beyond a reasonable doubt
3) The racist hanging judge who presided over the trial and chose the death penalty
