The Tour De Fast: Troops Home Fast Relay
Saturday, July 8th 2006 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Davis, California
The fast began on July 3rd in Fresno and is moving through San Francisco, Davis, Sacramento, South Lake Tahoe, and Reno, Nevada. Participants volunteer to fast for any length of time ranging so far from 1 to 7 days. Participants can fast and then pass the fast on to the next participant and then later return after taking a break from the fast. There is still room for more participants to fast in their areas. Please let us know so we can add your town to our list of tour sites. Hopefully, the Tour De Fast will not just be a spectator event. On Saturday, July 8th, at the Davis Farmer's Market in Central Park at 4th and C Streets in Davis, CA, 11 am to 1 pm, San Francisco fasters will pass the relay on to Davis fasters. We will hand out fliers, sign people up for the Voters For Peace Pledge, and distribute seeds of peace. On Monday, July 10th, the fast moves to the Capitol grounds (West Steps) in Sacramento for 5 days. Check troopshomefast.org and codepinkalert.org for more information as the rolling fast continues.
