Handgun ban illegal!
6/12/2006
Just as some gun advocates and supporters expected, Judge James Warren ruled today that Proposition H violated State law and cannot be enforced. He said State law does specifically say that city' and counties cannot regulate gun ownership by law abiding citizens. It has to be done on a state level. Warren also says he is concerned about banning firearms and ammunition in one county because gun owners or sellers would simply move to an area that does not ban them.
NRA lawyer Chuck Michel is happy with the outcome. He says the judge recognized that people who want to defend themselves are not a part of the problem.

Prop. H is just another pinheaded ploy by Democratic Party liberals to disarm all Americans against the ever-expanding U.S. Police State. Not very smart. Just ask survivors of Nazi Germany.
Thankfully, we have a judge that defends the 2nd Amendment!

The second amendment doesn't say squat about personal gun ownership. That's a myth propogated by the NRA. The Supreme Court has never even ruled that there is a constitutional right to personal ownership of guns. Besides, this court case had nothing to do with the 2nd, it was just juristictional.
As for the comment about defending us from tyranny, maybe you haven't noticed but things are about as tyranical as they can get, short of gas chambers, what with illegal imperial wars and spying on every US citizen, attacks on activists, etc. and no one with guns is doing shit about it. They're all crouching in their homes terrified of strangers and crime, just as the powers that be want us all to be. In fact, most of the people in this country with most of the guns support BushCo and their dastardly deeds. You want to use weapons to free us from tyranny? Well, go for it already. What are you waiting for? I'm calling your bluff.
