ACTION ALERT: Protest San Francisco Police Attacking the Cannabis Community
Voters in San Francisco are outraged at the San Francisco Police Department's
narcotics unit for their continual targeting of the cannabis community. Just this
week, in a ploy reminiscent of the federal racial profiling of Asian medical
cannabis providers last year, San Francisco narcotics officers targeted Asian
cannabis growers for arrest.
At a time when low income families and people with AIDS are homeless on our city's
streets, our tax dollars are being wasted persecuting people of color in the
cannabis community. Our money would be better spent helping those who are homeless
and in need rather than targeting nonviolent cannabis community members.
Keep the San Francisco police on alert that we won't tolerate the continued
harassment of people of color in the cannabis community -- we won't back down!
Protest on Thursday, June 1, at NOON, at SFPD headquarters -- 850 Bryant, in San
Francisco.
