Gay and Animal Rights Activists hold 'make-out' action in Washington, DC
Gay and Animal Rights Activists hold 'make-out' action in Washington, DC
by PageOneQ
From People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
Washington — Wearing nothing but red-white-and-blue boxers and Navy sailor caps, in a pre-Gay Pride display of passion that’s bound to raise a few eyebrows and turn lots of heads, PETA member Mike Brazell—a medal-winning 10-year Navy veteran—and his partner, Christopher McDonough, will passionately make out in a bed set up on Freedom Plaza on Wednesday. While the not-so-discreet couple is “getting it on” underneath a banner that reads, “Vegetarians Make Better Lovers,” activists will hand out leaflets and vegetarian starter kits to gaping-jawed passersby. Mike and Christopher want everyone to know that they can do themselves and animals a big favor by going vegetarian. It’s all part of PETA’s “Gay Make-Out Tour”

National Masturbation Month
At Good Vibrations, we know that sexual pleasure is a birthright and that masturbation is a powerful source of sexual gratification. Since practically everyone masturbates, but few people talk about it, we created National Masturbation Month, a month-long celebration recognizing the many ways we can pleasure ourselves. This year our theme is "D.I.Y.": Do it yourself, because nobody knows what you like as well as you do!
This year people all over the US (and the world!) will celebrate the seventh annual Masturbate-A-Thon, raising funds for worthy community-based organizations that focus on women's health, safer sex, HIV education, and other sex-positive causes. This year Good Vibrations is once again pleased to donate funds raised through the Masturbate-A-Thon to The Center for Sex & Culture, a San Francisco nonprofit which opened its library and archive this year. They hold sex education classes, salons, art events and more. The CSC holds its own Masturbate-A-Thon, too -- live! This year it's on May 28. For details, visit http://www.masturbate-a-thon.com.
Whether you enjoy it solo, with a sweetheart, or just talk up masturbation's pleasures and benefits, we invite you to join us in our celebration!
