Dear Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal:

In recent weeks we have sent out communications regarding important
developments in Mumia's case and activities that have taken place in the
Bay Area, nationally and internationally to win his freedom. Mumia is just
one court decision away from another ORDER FOR EXECUTION -- OR FOR A NEW
TRIAL. This is a critical juncture in his case and at its meeting on May 11
the Mobilization voted to do organize the following:

*Mass Mailing Parties (to prepare Press Conference/Rally mailing)
- Thursday, May 25, 5:30-7:30pm, and completion of mailing on:
- Saturday, May 27, 10:30am

San Francisco Federal Building to demand Freedom for Mumia!
450 Golden Gate Ave. (at Larkin St.), SF

The Mobilization is going to send a mass mailing to 2,000+ Mumia supporters
which will include an update of the legal developments and an announcement
of our press conference and rally at the SF Federal Building on Friday,
June 9th from 4pm to 6pm. If you can't make it to the Mailing Party this
Thursday, May 25th, drop by the Mobe office on Saturday, May 27th at
10:30am to help put the finishing touches on the mailing. The mailing will
take place at the Mobilization Office, 298 Valencia Street (at 14th
Street), San Francisco.

The Mobilization held very successful events celebrating Mumia's Birthday
in April and a public forum on May 11th featuring Pam Africa from the
International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal in
Philadelphia, Robert Bryan, Mumia's attorney and Michael Schifferman, an
activist from Germany who wrote his Ph.D. thesis on Mumia's case. Over
$2,300 was raised for ICFFMAJ.
