Don't miss the video showing of "Grassroots Rising" in celebration of Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This new documentary tells the story of Korean, Filipino and Thai immigrant workers in Los Angeles who are fighting to improve their lives and job conditions. Through interviews, murals, photos and spoken-word narration, the film pays tribute to a continuing tradition of Asian/Pacific Islander labor organizing.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 7:00pm. Begin the evening with a tasty supper, which includes a vegetarian option, at 6:15pm for a $6.50 donation. At New Valencia Hall, 1908 Mission Street (at 15th Street, one block from 16th /Mission BART and on the # 14 & # 49 MUNI bus lines), in San Francisco.
