Past interest has prompted us to send this update regarding the new eco-friendly community we have begun on the Sunshine Coast of BC. Mary and I finally got the property up and running on October 1, 2006. We left for home on November 14 with the intention of selling our house in the states and returning but nature had other things in store for us.
Without too many specifics, let me just say that health problems plagued both of us, (in our seventies), all winter, and delayed our return to Powell River until now. We're holding up pretty well, but unfortunately they will prevent us from continuing the Eco Village project we had in mind, (the spirit is willing but the body rebels).
Following this note will be a notice with information and pictures posted of the properties involved where those interested can access it.
Perhaps you, too, will see this as the ideal location for such a community endeavor and can pick up where we left off. We have chosen Don McLeod to follow through on the transfer of the properties because we have found him to be very knowledgeable and responsible in these matters.
Mary and I send our best wishes on your future endeavors,
Bob Magill
