A critically needed, day long intensive conversation and training With
presentations on the Historical Context of Counterinsurgency and the
Current Situation by:
· José Lopez, former grand jury resister and current Director of
the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, Chicago
· Black Panther Grand Jury resisters
· Nadia Winstead animal liberation movement grand jury resister
· Hatem Bazian, Professor of Islamic Studies, UC Berkeley
· Rachel Herzing, Center for Political Education and Critical
Resistance
PLUS: Breakout Sessions on Security Culture and Know Your Rights/Grand
Juries; International and Anti-Imperialist perspectives; Cultural
performances / short film excerpts
