SFPD once again discriminates against transsexuals in the Tenderloin.
SFPD takes two hours to respond to noise complaints?
On Tuesday May 15 2006 approximately at 7 p.m. I called the SFPD to report that several Hispanic men were running around the building screaming and pushing each other and threatening the tenants. They're also having a party in a small studio with at least ten people. Their words consisted of "I'll kill you faggots then run to Mexico." "Gringo's don't know who they are messing with."
At 8:30 p.m. the SFPD still did not respond to the complaint, and the Hispanic men are terrorizing the building. The management has been told about the men, BUT said they didn't care.
Our lives are in danger. DHS has been contacted.
This was printed to document another tragedy.(Death of a transsexual)
I will add video footage later to prove my point.

The police in the Tenderloin are NOT protecting transsexuals(Just Hispanic Men)
It really would be way cooler if you didn't refer to the men as "Hispanic" over and over. Their race or ethnicity is irrelevant. You could have just as easily said "men" and the same point would have been made.
I feel bad that you are scared in your own apartment building. That sucks. But the video only shows men walking down a hallway, maybe loudly. In close quarters, dealing with a neighbors parties is somewhat to be expected. If it's every night, then that might be an issue to take up with the landlord.
I am not sure what you expected the police to do. They came and told the men to keep the music down, etc. Should the cops have arrested all of the men? (Deport them??) And how are the police to make you feel safer? Coming inside your house so that your neighbors would know you are the one who called them? More paperwork taking "statements"? They sort of took your statement when you called them. There is a log of that visit.
As for the TG discrimination, I'm not sure you made that point clear. Do you see that discrimination because you feel like they didn't take your complaint seriously enough? Do they know your sexuality? Did you identify yourself as such to them in your call or in person? Were they were disrespectful somehow regarding your identity?
Lastly, it's a little creepy that you are videotaping your neighbors and their friends and posting it on the internet.

Your comments and concerns are taken, BUT honestly enough is enough. I video tape everything. (period)
Calling them Hispanicwas for a reason. They are Hispanic. Hispanic men do NOT care about TG people and bash us often, and honestly they would kill us of given the chance.
Yes damnit if the cops took statements then when we call them tonight for more adventures in Hispanic terrorism then they will know where we are coming from.
You know I bet I wouldn't be getting terrorized if they were deported.
I bet if you got terrorized in your own home you too would be reacting the same way.
Have you ever been terrorized and have not been able to defend yourself?

If the cops did such a bad job, why do you thank them at the end of the encounter??? Why didn't you mention to them about the threats on your life??? If you were unsatisfied, why not tell them you wanted more done? In my opinion, they did what they could do..unless you are willing to point out the indivigual making threats against you, the cops can't do anything. They can't arrest them all, can they??? The most they could do is give the guy who is the legal tennant a ticket for disturbing the peace. And another thing, the cops in the Tenderloin probably don't respond to any "noise complaint" in less than 2 hours..because they ar responding to calls about robberies, assaults, shootings, stabbings, domestic violence etc...Noise complaints are low on the priority list.
I don't know what hood you live in, but where I live noise complaints lead to rapes, assaults and shootings. Responding to noise complaints in a timely manner will ultimately stop some of those rapes and assaults. I agree with the poster, noise complaints should be responded too more effectively.(period)
You know the game is too stop crime and be responsible citizens and help fight crime together, BUT that is not what the police want. They just want to do their job and go home. Crime fighting is NOT in their agenda, or they would have found some of the 100's of killers still on our streets.

The cops just want to do their jobs and go home? Isn't that what everyone who has a job wants to do? Should the cops work overtime to arrest these 100 or so killers? Who is going to pay them? Not SF. Or should they just stay on their own and do it for free?
