The film documents the 25 year struggle for education justice in reaction to deep education spending cuts as a result of globalization, and offers important lessons in civics, resourcefulness and courage for United States educators. The screening will be a fundraiser for Teachers 4 Social Justice, a grassroots, peer led education activist organization based in SF, as well as New College’s Bilingual Teacher Scholarship Program. Admission is $8.00, and $4 for Seniors. Discussion immediately after the screening followed by a dance party at New College, 766 Valencia Street with Bay Area music artists featured in the movie, Los Mocosos.
