The creator of the nationally syndicated and
politically charged Latino comic strip La Cucaracha,
Lalo Alcaraz’s work is featured daily in the Los
Angeles Times, Denver Post and 65 other major
newspapers. He began his career drawing editorial
cartoons at his college paper at San Diego State
University. Today, he is a one-of-a-kind cartoonist,
satirist and writer who captures the essence of the
country’s changing cultural and political landscape
like no other. Bringing a fearless sensibility to his
political and social commentary, he is a fresh voice
whose unabashedly pro-immigrant, progressive stance
about the need for a multicultural visibility in the
media is long overdue.
